Nearity AW-C30R Reviews
It actually works very well
I have been using the Nearity C30R All-In-One 4K Conference Camera and have been very pleased with its performance. Setup was straightforward on both an older Windows 10 computer and a MacBook Pro M5. In both cases, the camera was immediately recognized when opening Zoom and the built-in camera applications, which made the device easy to begin using without unnecessary configuration. The video quality is excellent. Full 4K video is available in QuickTime, and the image quality is well suited for conference calls, presentations, and recorded video. The AI features work well, especially the voice tracking feature. When used with a moving presenter, the camera successfully tracks the speaker using the microphone array, which is very useful for presentations or instructional settings where the person speaking may not remain seated. No, it cannot predict where you will go, but it catches up just fine. The remote control provides access to the advertised features and makes it convenient to adjust the camera during use. If you want more or less zoom, you can adjust it. The built-in speaker also provides good audio quality for conference use. The microphone array has performed very well, recording clear audio at distances of more than 10 feet. Overall, the Nearity C30R is a capable and convenient all-in-one conference camera. It works well across both Windows and Mac platforms, provides strong 4K video performance, has useful AI tracking features, and delivers good speaker and microphone performance. Based on my experience, it is a very good choice for conferencing, presentations, and recorded instructional content.
Junk! Better off with a webcam
I had high hopes to set up the perfect zoom room in my small home office but this device made me miss my webcam. It’s big enough to fool you that the speaker is worthy, but sound quality was very poor, my TV’s built-ins were better sounding. The mic wasn’t any better, at 6 feet away, people hear me echoing from afar. Picture quality is pathetic, my 2K Anker webcam looks much better. To mount over a TV you need a separate bracket, and it does t come with the key you need to remove a torque set-screw to remove the stand. It doesn’t do anything well. I bought it on sale for $120, it’s goi g back - there’s no way anyone would buy it for the $1K listed price and not regret it instantly
