Nearity V30 Reviews
Nice Webcam
Out of the box this webcam reframes was too much and you'll get a little motion sickness and a good laugh from your colleagues on zoom. Go to Nearity's website and download NearSync. This way you can update and adjust settings. The rating on this webcam is a bit unfair. I purchased it on sale. I don't think the MSRP is likely worth it however I love the wide field of view and the crystal clear view. In a group meeting I think my camera looks better than everyone else's so I like it and I'm happy with the purchase.
Not worth list price, okay on sale
I got this product significantly marked down about 2 months ago, so I've had some time to try it out. I can't in good faith recommend it at its exorbitant list pricing. It has incredible camera quality, but the auto focus is annoying. I disabled that through windows settings by setting the camera/device to disable "advanced webcam features", but the supposed "4-element MEMS microphone array, automatic gain control, and deep-learning AI noise suppression" has been nowhere to be found. Theres no literature packed in with it, and nothing to be found online. There's also no software to manage the settings either. I've had an easier time using "cheaper" Logitech webcams, and if i didn't get this one for less than a Logitech i'd probably have returned it and bought one of those instead by now. The poor user experience on this makes me hesitant to try other products from this company as well. As far as build quality however, it looks nice and seems pretty solid. It is HUGE and very heavy, but that's to be expected in a conference camera I feel, especially if it supposedly has a mic array inside...
