Works as *expected*, not as designed
This is the third thumb bracket/mount I have tried for the X-M5 and this is the one that is actually viable for the X-M5. What I mean by the headline for this review is that there are alternatives that are designed to provide a similar solution, but their designs are not what I expect and I'm honestly not sure how those companies came up with their designs as it doesn't appear they took real world scenarios into account - that's not the case with this Tilta bracket. This Tilta bracket provides a sturdy grip that is largely out of the way of function buttons, such as the playback and AEL button the back of the camera, as well as the Q-menu button on the top. You can use the command dial for the most part as well, though its placement will always provide a challenge. Other brackets obstruct these three buttons and dial massively, making them almost unusable. I am happy to leave this Tilta bracket on as a permanent fixture (unless I legitimately need the hot shoe) and highly recommend it. Even if it's not the cheapest option, it's the option that actually works as expected.

Finally someone released a thumb grip that doesn’t block any buttons on the Fujifilm X-M5! Great purchase, flawless fitment & colors match - what more can you ask for? So glad they sell this grip individually vs having to buy the entire travel case. B&H has cheaper shipping costs than ordering direct.
