The Pliant Technologies CCU-44 CrewCom 4+4 Control Unit serves as the central hub of the CrewCom system, establishing the CrewNet-based infrastructure while seamlessly integrating with a wide range of standard intercom systems.
Unlike traditional base stations, the CCU-44 is entirely radio-agnostic, containing no built-in RF hardware. This design lays the foundation for a versatile, multi-frequency capable system, allowing access to, control of, and monitoring of any active device across the CrewNet network-regardless of the RF band in use.
When paired with CrewCom Radio Transceivers, the CCU-44 supports up to 82 Radio Packs—18 in Normal Mode and 64 in High-Density Mode—across all available frequency bands. For maximum interoperability, the unit also provides simultaneous support for up to four 2-Wire and four 4-Wire intercom connections.
