The OET 1514 1G Ethernet to Fiber Transceiver (Extender, Multi-Mode) from Lynx Technik AG is designed to extend the range of Ethernet signals through the use of a fixed high speed 1 Gb/s optical transceiver speed. This compact transceiver is the Singlemode variant of the OET 1514 line and sports two RJ45 Ethernet ports and one Fiber Optic input.
All inputs support speeds up to 1 Gb/s. With two OET 1514 Transceivers (one at each end of your connection) connected using two fiber links, you can send signals over a distance of 6.2 miles. The OET 1514 can be set for automatic speed detection (10/100/1000 Mb/s) or forced to 10 Mb/s. Automatic crossover detection is also built-in so you can feel confident that your connections remain functional even in emergency cases. Additionally, a miniUSB port is featured on this transceiver and it allows for easy monitoring and firmware updates.
