Detent Setting vs. Free Spread: With the spreader removed, is there an "angle-lock" or detent on the legs (to allow lower shot)?

Once the spreader is removed from the Benro Lightning Lock Video Tripod (Carbon Fiber, 75 mm Bowl), the legs will move freely; only the rubber feet or the spiked feet will control the legs. I listed a locking spreader-less choice below.
