I do concert audio engineering and am occasionally handed a cell phone, or other little device with the request, Can you lay this or that music track [through the sound system] for my set? As the audio outputs on cell phones have changed from 1/8 TRS to maybe Apple's Lightning and not to USB-C, the need for adapters has changed.
