Featuring an extra-wide opening, Sachtler's Dr. Bag - 5 is an extra large bag designed to store and protect a camera with a matte box and microphone attached, along with extra gear. It features removable internal rigid dividers for custom configuration, cold-molded laminate panels provide extra protection, and side pockets for additional storage. Additionally, the bag provides internal LED lighting to enable easy viewing of your contents even in dimly lit environments. The bag is carried using the ergonomic handle or included padded shoulder strap, and is also compatible with Sachtler's Snaplock Trolley System.

Sachtler Snaplock Trolley System

Carry your equipment bags without breaking your back using the Sachtler Snaplock Trolley System. It quickly clips to your bags and provides amenities such as in-line-type wheels and a telescoping handle. Once you're done transporting your gear, the Trolley folds up for storage by pressing the large quick-release button.

Bought this bag so that I could transport full camera builds and have the height to keep all of the accessories on camera. It's great for that purpose. The only improvement I could suggest is a couple more interior dividers for the larger size. If you're planning on buying this bag it's probably a good idea to pick up an extra set of velcro dividers for more flexibility.

It's a top of the line bag. I wish it was a little wider like an incb for my Sony FX9.

Will the Dr Bag 5 fit a folded Snaplock Trolley inside so I can check it as luggage?

Yes, the Sachtler Dr. Bag - 5 should be able to store the Sachtler Snaplock Trolley System inside, as the Sachtler Snaplock Trolley System is 8.7 x 7.5 x 0.2" when folded, and the Sachtler Dr. Bag - 5 has an interior space of 25.6 x 11.00 x 12.4".

Will it fit an ursa mini pro 4.6k with veiwfinder and side grip/handle attached? I measured the width at 13 for the camera with grip attached. Others have said their ursa fits but I don't see how.

The bag interior is 14 wide so a 13 width of camera and handle fits. Also it is a bag so there is some give.

How much weight can it support / carry ?

The Sachtler Dr. Bag - 5 does not have a listed weight limit. However with this said the Bag is designed to hold Camcorders and cinema cameras in the weight range of 10 to 20 Pounds. .

How to open the handles when it close?

Hi Stephane, The handles are secured with a click-lock system when closed. One side of the handle fits into the other and locks them together. To open, you simply reverse the process by disengaging one handle from the other.

Is it possible to store this as a carry on in an overhead bin? Dimensions say no, but that's the same case with the Dr bag 4 and there are multiple people saying that fits without a problem.

Fitting the Sachtler Dr. Bag - 5 in the overhead bin of a flight is entirely dependent on each airlines' specifications.
