The case protected my equipment, but the case itself cracked near the wheel mount after airline travel. When I contacted Eylar, I learned that their warranty does not cover damage sustained while transporting the case unless it was placed inside another shipping box. In other words, a protective transport case used for transportation is not covered if it is damaged during transportation. I understand the distinction between a manufacturing defect and transit damage, but that's a difficult policy to reconcile with the purpose of the product. The biggest lesson for me was that the purchase price doesn't tell the whole story. Companies like Pelican charge more upfront, but their warranty support is part of what you're paying for. If you're considering Eylar, factor the warranty limitations into your buying decision.
