Zenelli Carbon ZX Overview

The Zenelli ZX Essential Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head is the brand's lightest full-featured gimbal head—a flagship model engineered for photographers and wildlife observers who require maximum strength, precision, and field-ready usability. At just 1.98 lb, it supports an impressive 154 lb of gear, making it one of the most capable and lightweight gimbals in its class. Designed and crafted 100% in Italy, the ZX combines carbon fiber construction for vibration absorption, forged aluminum for increased rigidity, magnesium alloy for weight reduction, and stainless steel screws for corrosion resistance across extreme conditions. The ZX Essential delivers core mechanical performance in a streamlined version without the quick release lever or lens saver lever.

The ZX delivers smooth, free movement through dual bearings on both the tilt and pan axes, ensuring a fluid, responsive experience in any tracking scenario. The pan axis is aligned with the focal point, while the center of mass aligns with the pan axis for perfect mechanical balance. Key controls include an ergonomic tilt locking knob, adjustable-position locking levers for both pan and vertical balance, and a vertical balance safety pin to prevent lens slippage during adjustment. A bubble level supports quick setup and precision leveling. The gimbal mounts via a standard 3/8"-16 UNC thread and features an integrated Arca-type compatible profile for universal quick-release compatibility. With a footprint of 9 × 9 × 3.5", the ZX is compact enough for travel yet powerful enough to support lenses up to 1200mm. Built with forged, extruded, and CNC-machine technology, this gimbal head is ideal for wildlife, birding, and sports photography where speed, control, and absolute stability are non-negotiable. Additionally, this item includes an anti-dust storage bag.

question

Hi, I'm interested in this Zenelli . Can you get the Zenelli Acra Swiss quick release plate with the stops and bubble level built into the plate. And do you have a Zenelli Brochure showing accessories that you can send me ? FJD Sporting Collectables, Frank J. Dattalo Jr., 400 Sharon Drive, Rochester, NY 14626
Asked by: Frank J. D.
The head does not really have any other additional accessories but what is listed and that is part of the head. And the only item it does not come with is the quick release plate. The plate is Arca-Swiss style and there are many plates available and it as to the correct one it depends on the lens you will be using on the head.

Compared to CarbonZX and ZC Plus models, which one is better for Nikon Z9 + 600 F4 TC on both monopod and tripod?
Asked by: Michael
The Zenelli CARBONZX Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head with Accessories is the best and strongest out of the two. Both can do the job. And for use on both a tripod and monopod, the ZX is also the better way to go with a Nikon Z9 + 600 F4 TC.

question

I plan on using this with a Nikon 400 2.8E and would like to inquire if it will mount on this out of the box? Any other accessories I would need? THanks!
Asked by: Jonathan M.
Hi Jon, I shoot a Nikon 200 to 400 2.8 most of the time. I had to buy a small rail that attaches to the arm on the lens. That then the slides into the existing bracket slot on the gimbal head. The little rail was probably a $20 item. You can get them anywhere. They are pretty universal.
