TP-Link BE400 Overview

Enjoy smooth video streaming, online gaming, and internet browsing experiences with the TP-Link Archer BE400 BE6500 Wireless Dual-Band 2.5G Router. Supporting the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, this dual-band router optimizes 2.4 and 5 GHz bands to deliver 6452 Mb/s transfers with compatible devices.

Multi-link operation support allows you to simultaneously send and receive data across different frequency bands for increased throughput and reliability. A 2.5G WAN connection allows you to take full advantage of multi-Gig internet services. The 2.5G Ethernet LAN port provides access to compatible high-speed network devices such as computers and NAS systems. There are also three Gigabit speed Ethernet ports available. WPA3 encryption, TP-Link HomeShield features, and VPN access help to protect your network and its devices against online threats. You can set up and manage features such as the parental controls and guest login through the TP-Link Tether app for Android and iOS.

4K-QAM
Supporting 4K-QAM packs up to 120% more data over the wireless frequencies compared to the previous generation.
Multi-Link Operation
Instead of limiting data transmission to one band, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows you to simultaneously connect to devices with multiple bands for high throughput, reduced latency, and improved reliability.

Wi-Fi 7 makes full use of every resource on the wireless spectrum for maximum efficiency.
Flexible Port Connections
With a 2.5G Ethernet WAN port, you can connect to high-speed internet services and network devices. A 2.5G LAN is also available alongside three Gigabit speed Ethernet ports. The USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port lets you add flash drives and other compatible devices to share on your network.
Mesh Wi-Fi Network
EasyMesh compatibility allows you to use any EasyMesh routers or range extenders as satellites to expand your Wi-Fi coverage. Mesh networks can operate using a single SSID, allowing you to smoothly move across your home while streaming videos, playing games, and browsing the internet.
HomeShield Security
TP-Link HomeShield provides advanced security features that deliver a safe environment that protects your family and network's data and privacy. Features include a real-time home network scanner and comprehensive parental controls. Upgrading to the premium subscription service enables additional features.
VPN Client and Server Support
Allow devices in your home network to access remote VPN servers without needing to install VPN software on every device. The Archer BE400 can run both the VPN and ordinary internet connections at the same time, delivering security and flexibility.
Easy Setup and Use
Use the TP-Link Tether app or the web interface to set up your Archer BE400 in minutes. The Tether app allows you to manage network settings from any Android or iOS device.

I replaced my Linksys EA-8300 router with this TP-Link BE-6500 router, the Tether App is great and very helpful with set-up and monitoring devices on your network. Between cars, security cameras, phones, PC’s, printers and TV’s, I have over 25 devices on my personal network, the speed is incredible with Spectrum 500mb service. My iPhones no longer display a weak network security warning and the only device that wouldn’t connect to my network was an HP-8610 wireless printer. I had to connect it to a repeater even though there was plenty of signal, the repeater was older and the printer probably required less robust security. All in all this is a great router, and very well built, no regrets.
