Great quality base plate. Nice machining and finish. But mine came with a very rusty attachment screw. What! The description also needs to say base plate not included.

Does this plate have room to slide away from the body, like a standard RRS L bracket? It's hard to tell from the pictures.
The Really Right Stuff Video Offset L-Component for Canon R5, R5 Mark II, R6 & R6 Mark II does not include the base plate. That needs to be purchased separately, but the L-Component can be pulled away from the body.
