BOOX Tax X C Compared to previous BOOX MaxLumi

I purchased the BOOX Tax X C as a successor for my BOOX MaxLumi. My principle uses for an E-Ink device are to (1) Store and annotate manuals and other documents, and (2) as a substitute for paper and pen for taking meeting notes and keeping lists. I will also occasionally use it to manage emails and may, in idle moments, play Sudoku of Mahjong. I appreciate the large screen size while reading many documents which are still formatted as though they were printed on paper. It is also easy to annotate within the document or make notes in a separate file. The Tab X C appears to reproduce images more clearly than the the MaxLumi - this may be due to the limited color capability of this unit, and I appreciate the improvement. I am not a fan of the Tab X C active pen. This stylus must frequently be in contact to the reader (weakly held magnetically) to be charged. The MaxLumi stylus is more convenient for me - its inactive stylus does not need to be charged, and I appreciate that its reverse end acts an eraser rather than changing the function of the tip. The glass screens on this and other tablets are slippery and I feel that this makes it more difficult to securely handle these larger devices. I had adhered a plastic cover on the MaxLumi which improved this situation, but I don't know whether I will be able to do this with the Tab X C. The E-Ink technology requires less frequent charging than other tablets. My feeling is that the Tax X C needs recharging more frequently than the MaxLumi but times are still okay. If this difference is real, the reason may be due to the color technology. The Tab X C screen is darker than the MaxLumi's, and the front screen lighting is even more valuable for it. I suggest that one obtain a cover for the Tab X C which will help secure the stylus with the unit as well as protect the tablet. Overall, I am satisfied with the Tab X C operation. Documentation is incomplete (of course). Their support page claims to have a link to a user guide, but the linked page doesn't exist. I have not yet been successful syncing handwritten notes between these units - the synced images are distorted.
