ALOGIC 34C2KPD Overview

Experience the next level of desktop visuals with the silver Edge 34" 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor from ALOGIC. This ultrawide monitor boasts an aspect ratio of 21:9, a resolution of 3440x1440, a 100 Hz refresh rate, and a 14 ms response time, all while offering IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology.

Featuring a typical brightness of 400 nits, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, viewing angles of 178°, 16.7 million colors, this monitor allows for peak performance and enjoyment when it comes to working either professionally or casually. The inclusion of one HDMI port, one DisplayPort, one USB-C video and laptop charging port, three USB-C accessory ports, and one 3.5mm audio port allows for a plethora of connections to devices, peripherals, and even a network due to a built-in RJ45 Ethernet port. The USB-C video and laptop charging port outputs a total of 90W. Also built into this monitor are two 3W speakers, so you can have sound to back up your expansive visuals. A lot of what I wanted but fell short in some respects.

I looked all over the internet for a monitor that had an aluminum monitor housing and an aluminum stand, because I really like the aesthetic of Apples Monitors, but not the price. This clicks a lot of those boxes. On ALogics website it leads you to believe the whole thing is Aluminum and glass. This isn't true. The parts that seem to be aluminum are the base for sure as it is Super Heavy, the stand, and the sides of the back bump. The back of the back bump seems to be ABS plastic. This could have been made from this aluminum but they didn't. The sides of that back bump see to be aluminum and so dos the front lip that says ALogic. The things I don't really like are that it is only 100Hz refresh and that its not that bright and its adjustments aren't as robust as I like. About a week later I discovered what I really would have wanted, but probably wouldn't have splurged on, the ProArt PA32UCDM 31.5 4K Monitor with 240Hz refresh rates and a ton of adjust able options as well as very premium, but with a price tag of $1,899.99.
