Annoying setup, provided materials inadequate, impossible to line up materials.

Technically the laser does cut, and it’s a good size, however, the fumes are absolutely overpowering and with no way to ventilate properly, you pretty much have to use this outside to be beneficial. Also, the purchase does not include the software needed to actually control it, and that’s an additional expense. But the real issue is that the product doesn’t come with any way to actually line your materials up. The boards that are included are useless. The cut area is so large and without any grid, or base plate, it’s literally impossible to get an accurate cut. In fact the product suggests you use a metal plate, but of course that isn’t included, so you’ll have to provide your own to protect whatever you set the product on. Lastly, my copy somehow looked like it had been used. There were scratch marks around where the screws insert suggesting it not only had been assembled previously but had been assembled without care, as these marks were deep enough to discolor the metal.
