Powerful Design
With a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and three internal antennas, the EAX17 provides reliable connections for smooth video streaming and responsive gaming.
Mesh Network
This range extender is designed to work with existing Wi-Fi routers to create a mesh network, which uses a single network ID (SSID) to provide a seamless and reliable wireless network experience as you roam from room to room. The EAX17 is backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards.

NETGEAR EAX17 Reviews

Software install not simple. Poor management functionality in app

I was frustrated with the installation software has to do it a couple times. The nighthawk app to manage the nighthawk and extender does not have the management visibility I would like. I can’t really tell what SSID the devices are connected to. I can not tell if the device is connecting through the nighthawk or the extender. So troubleshooting issues is difficult.

Has been helpful w/our RV connection

I bought this to use with our travel trailer at RV parks to help boost the wifi signal. It seems to do the job but can be difficult to connect. It doesn't seem to be made to be portable and holds the previous wifi network name and wants to connect to it even though we are nowhere near it. There was a couple of times I had to hit the reset button on the unit or even delete and reinstall the app. Once I get it connected it really helps with wifi signal. I could even stream a Netflix movie. This is in an RV park so fairly far from the signal so I would assume it would work well in a house. Especially once connected and not needing to reconnect to different networks.
