Comprised of two matching modules, the yellobrik OBD 1514 E 1GbE to Fiber Transceiver Switch from Lynx Technik uses Wavelength-devision Multiplexing (WDM) technology in a closed loop to bridge two installations together. These modules can transfer up to 1 Gb/s across about 6.2 miles of single-mode fiber cable.
Each OBD 1514-E module performs as a mini switch that can be configured manually with its DIP switches. The included SFP transceivers install into one end, supporting fiber cables with duplex LC connectors. The other end has two Gigabit speed RJ45 ports that connect to your network installations and devices. The modules are powered using the included AC adapters.
Note: This system uses WDM and should only be used in point-to-point applications. WDM cannot be integrated into a CWDM system.
