Does the TCM feature work for external flashes… I know it works for the internal, but I question if it works for external flash
The TCM feature on GODOX transmitters will work with external flashes as long as they are first fired in TTL mode; then select the TCM feature from the Godox iT30Pro S TTL Mini Flash for Sony (Black) transmitter, and it will lock in the last TTL exposure and convert it to a manual setting, thus stopping the TTL feature from changing power based on the subject's distance to the camera.

What does the X3 series controllers do that this does not do?
The x3 has more control. You can increase/decrease the power of the lights by .1 as opposed to 1/3 steps on the it30, also the x3 lets you use more groups. You only get 3 + the flash on the it30 (A,B,C, and M which is the master flash)
