Kopul PAX-USB Overview

Ideal for playing prerecorded audio from a computer or smart device over PA systems in live event scenarios, the Kopul PAX-USB is a 2-channel DI box sporting a USB-C audio input and two balanced XLR 3-pin analog audio outputs. From flying in tracks from your devices to a multi-track recorder to spicing up concerts with computer audio, this DI box offers a versatile plug-and-play solution.

The transformer-isolated outputs are complimented by ground lifting to ensure minimal noise from electromagnetic interference, grounding loops, and high-frequency hissing. Switchable functions include a manual on/off switch, a +6 dB boost, and a stereo-to-mono sum function that sums your stereo signal into two mono channels. High-quality DAC circuitry provides pristine 16-bit / 48 kHz digital audio and clean conversion to analog, avoiding signal loss, coloration, and noise. The DI box requires no power adapters and is powered directly from the USB device. And with a rugged metal construction, the PAX-USB is ideal for rigorous live applications. The PAX-USB includes a USB-C cable.

For Computer Audio
The PAX-USB Direct Box plugs into a USB port and converts your computer's digital audio to an analog signal that you can send to a recording device, PA system, or mixing board. Add the audio you recorded or sequenced on your computer to a recording session, or play tracks from your smartphone to a PA system for live events, concerts, or clubs. If you thought the only way to send your computer's audio to a PA system or mixing board was via the headphone output jack, you'll be thrilled to know about the PAX-USB.
Balanced XLR Outputs
The XLR outputs send a balanced signal that's free of radio frequency and electromagnetic interference. Even on long cable runs that traverse a studio or stage with audio and lighting cables, your tracks will reach the PA system or recorder in pristine condition.
Transformer Isolation
The PAX-USB is made with transformer-isolated balanced stereo outputs that will eliminate unwanted hum from ground loops. This feature is useful when feeding computer audio to a live sound system, especially when a projector is connected to your computer. Isolation transformers are also extremely effective at reducing high-frequency noise, so your audience won't hear unwanted hiss either.
Mono-Stereo Switch
When the stereo output option is selected, the PAX-USB outputs a 2-channel stereo signal. But when you're feeding audio to a PA system, you have the option of summing your stereo mix and sending two mono tracks to each speaker. Even if you're using only one PA speaker with your system, your audience will hear a full mix no matter where they're sitting.
Bus Powered
The PAX-USB doesn't need a power cable or an external power source. It runs on the power from your USB port, so no matter where you are, you can use this direct box to feed the audio to a PA or mixer.
