The MB-2020 Cardioid XLR Boundary Microphone from Polsen is a low-profile XLR boundary microphone that's tailored to accurately capture speech and instruments while sitting unobtrusively on a desk or tabletop. This easy-to-use boundary microphone features a cardioid polar pattern that focuses on the sound in front of it while minimizing off-axis sound and noise. The MB-2020's audio quality will be a noticeable improvement over a computer's internal microphone when used for video chats, conferences, and presentations. In addition to voices and speech, this boundary mic's frequency range, sensitivity, and high SPL level allow a kick or bass drum, brass, choirs, and large ensembles to be faithfully recorded.
The MB-2020 runs on 48V phantom power that can be supplied via a mixing board, digital recorder, or phantom power supply. A built-in LED indicator shows phantom power status during operation. The balanced output and included mini XLR cable ensure clean and interference-free audio, even over a long cable run. Rugged all-metal construction makes the MB-2020 able to withstand frequent use and a perfect choice for travel. An anti-skid padded rubber base keeps the mic in place on smooth or highly polished surfaces, and it decouples the mic from any vibrations that can compromise your audio. Two keyhole slots on the bottom will accept screw heads for more permanent wall or podium installation.
