ASUS B650E-PLUS WiFi Overview

Designed with fast connectivity and enhanced overclocking performance, the ASUS TUF GAMING B650E-PLUS WIFI AM5 ATX Motherboard supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors with the AM5 socket.

Install up to 256GB DDR5-8000 memory across four slots for smooth multitasking. For storage, you can add one PCIe 5.0 and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs to load demanding applications and large projects in a flash. Support for up to four SATA III drives provides space for your games library and large media files. With one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 4.0 x16 (in x4 mode) slot, and two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots, you can install a powerful graphics card and other expansions.

The rear panel features a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports that can transfer up to 20 Gb/s with compatible devices. There are also three 10 Gb/s USB-A ports and six USB-A 2.0 ports available. Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) support and a 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet port provide fast connections to compatible networks. Windows 10 or later is required to take advantage of all the motherboard's functions.

12(80A)+2(80A)+1(80A) power stages combine high-side and low-side MOSFETS and drivers into a single package to deliver power, efficiency, and stable performance.
DRAM Overclocking Performance
AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO) support makes it easy to tune the memory for higher performance. Experienced users can further tweak performance using an extensive array of settings in the UEFI BIOS.
PCIe 5.0 SSD Support
The PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot features data transfers of up to 128 Gb/s, and all M.2 slots support for RAID configurations for added performance.
Cooler By Design
An extensive heatsink covers the VRMs and chokes for improved heat dissipation. Additionally, each of the M.2 slots have dedicated heatsinks that help to avoid speed throttling.

SafeSlot is a reinforced metal sheath added to a PCIe slot to keep a card firmly installed. Meanwhile, strong ASUS SafeDIMM sheathes support and protect memory modules, empowering you to insert your modules with speed, accuracy, and confidence.

ESD Guards prolong the life of components while preventing damage from electrostatic discharge, providing protection for up to +/- 10 kV of air discharge and +/- 6 kV of contact discharge.

Stainless Steel Back I/O Panel

Two-Way AI Noise Cancelation
A massive deep-learning database is used to reduce background noise from a connected microphone and incoming audio while preserving voices. Distracting keyboard clatter, mouse clicks and other ambient noises are removed so you can hear and be heard with near perfect clarity.

The Realtek ALC1220P audio codec provides pristine audio quality with a 108 dB signal-to-noise ratio for the stereo line out and a 103 dB SNR for the line in.
DTS Audio Processing
DTS Audio Processing enhances gaming headset and speaker audio experiences by reducing distortion and by providing deeper bass, so games, movies, and music sound better. Choose between Music, Movie, and Game preset modes. You can also customize the audio settings.
Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header
Three addressable Gen 2 RGB headers support up to 500 LEDs on Gen 2 RGB devices, empowering Aura Sync to automatically tailor lighting effects across your whole system. The new headers also offer full backward compatibility with existing Aura Sync gear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two of these boards to build my kids their first PCs. Paired each with a Ryzen 9600x, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 6000 MT/s CL30, Gigabyte Gaming 9060XT 16GB, Crucial P310 Gen 4 1TB, Antec GSK 850 PSU, all housed inside a Montech XR, running Windows 11. I cooled the CPU with a Thermalright Assassin X 120R Digital ARGB. Both boards accepted everything and worked right out of the gate on stock BIOS. Changed EXPO settings profile to maximize the memory speed. I didn't have any issues installing Windows off a bootable USB.

If you’re going all out with a ryzen 9 9900X, 96gb of gskill ddr5 ram, Samsung 990 pro m.2 2tb ssd, and a msi gaming trio 5070ti then you need it to be backed by an amazing motherboard
