The Four-Channel XLR Male Fanout to RJ45 Network Extender from Kopul is an economical alternative to transferring audio and DMX signals over bulky and expensive XLR snakes. This network extender uses lightweight and affordable Ethernet or etherCON cables to transmit four discrete channels of digital audio, analog audio, and DMX signals to a back-of-house audio console, multitrack recorder, PA system, or DMX controller. The rugged aluminum chassis and heavily shielded XLR connectors provide equipment connections in the most demanding event, stage, or studio environments and deliver interference- and latency-free signals to their destination, even over cable runs of hundreds of feet.
When connected with a Cat 5/5e/6/7 Ethernet cable, the extender provides balanced mic level, AES/EBU, and DMX signals without interference, signal loss, or added coloration for the length of your cable runs. This passive network extender requires no external power to operate. It is compatible with etherCON connectors, which will protect the RJ45 plug and prevent accidental disconnections caused by cable strain or tugs.
