New Synology DS925+ came with 4GB and an open slot. B&H made it easy to order correct module for a good price. Order was fulfilled quickly and part arrived promptly. Powered down, pulled drives for access, new module clicked into place, reinserted drives and powered up. Now I have 8GB of memory that will meet my needs for the foreseeable future.

No, the Synology 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM ECC Memory Module BH # SYD4ES0116G is not compatible with the DS925+. For the DS925+, the correct RAM module for it will be the Synology 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM ECC Memory Module BH # SYD4ES0316G.
