The ARX Audibox Remote Switcher is a dual-channel stereo input switcher designed to provide seamless remote switching between two XLR input sources. Ideal for installation, broadcast, and live environments, this compact tool allows audio routing to be controlled silently and reliably—without interrupting the system with pops or clicks.
Silent Audio Switching
At the heart of the Remote Switcher is ARX's proprietary SoftSwitch technology, enabling click-free transitions between Input A and Input B. Audio is routed to a single stereo pair of XLR male outputs, making the unit ideal for shared speaker systems or emergency override scenarios.
Two Remote Control Modes
Input selection can be triggered in two ways:
- Mode 1: Remote switch or relay closure (requires 12 to 24 VDC from an external power supply)
- Mode 2: DC voltage from an EWIS (Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System) panel
When no voltage is applied, Input A is active by default. Applying 12 to 24 VDC to the control connector automatically switches to Input B
Rugged, Installation-Ready Design
Housed in a durable all-steel chassis with a tough polyurethane finish and fiberglass PCB, the Remote Switcher is built to withstand the demands of fixed installations and touring alike.
