Kodak Ektar H35N Reviews

Very fun to use, and produces good images.

I've been using this camera for a while. I'm honsetly surprised by how good the images ended up turing out. I used TRI-X for the first roll, and just got the images back. The image quality is solid, and fairly sharper than I expected. A bit better than a lot of disposables I have used, or seen over the years. I look forward to seeing the color images I took. I would totally recommend this camera as a vacation camera, or something to use instead of having to buy disoposables again and again.

Punches Well Above What The Price Suggests

I'm two rolls in on this camera (which means I've spent more on stock, processing and scanning than I have on the camera) and I'm absolutely loving it. If you're used to full-frame 35mm or medium format, it'll take a minute to get used to 72+ exposures on one roll but once you get the rhythm, it's great. This is absolutely a lo-fi snapshot camera and delivers well above its price point if that's what you're looking for. The flash works well with close subjects but doesn't light up a room (not that we'd expect it to on a single AAA battery). For half frame hobbyist use in broad daylight, you really can't do much better at this price point. LA Film Lab is where we go for processing and scans and they always deliver excellence.

Does this camera work with any type of film? I would like to know if it works with Kodak Porta 400 and CineStill 800.

The Ektar H35N will work with most standard 35mm film up to 36 exposure canisters. This will give you up to a total of up to 72 half frame exposures.
