Solves a new old problem

After mistakenly rolling two ends back into the canister and having tried a couple of other methods, I bought one of these. It took four tries to get it to work, but it finally did, and perhaps it takes a little getting used to. Since quality "snap-cap" film cartridges, like the old Ilford design, are not available, I've taken to reloading new ones, leaving an inch-and-a-half at roll's end to tape on a new one. This tool did not manage to get those short ends out, but it did work on a full roll.

Pay close attention to the tiny instructions on the package, but following those I got it to work on the first try!
