My favorite camera. Ever

I have been photographing for over 10 years now. Started with a Canon APS-C, then went to full frame and finally fuji medium format (GFX 50Sii). Bought a whole array of lenses, filters, tripods - the lot. Then one day, I got tired of the whole thing. Not photography - but the onerous task of packing all the gear, carrying it with me, changing lenses, lugging the camera around, snapping the picture, then workflowing it through lightroom. It felt like I was spending about 5% of my time on the actual photograph. So I sold everything. And started to look at fixed lens cameras. Considered quite a few. Could not justify the price point of many (hello Leica Q3 or the Fuji GFX 100RF. That much money for ONE lens only? Well - enter this one. This has the ability to swap lenses. Just the fact that it has the ability makes me feel good. That I CAN do it if I want to. I don't plan to. The 23MM f2 that I got works perfect (35mm equivalent). The camera is a delight to handle. The film simulation button is fantastic. Auto mode (yeah yeah) is amazing - though I still shoot Aperture priority (the snob in me refuses to let go). For my large-ish hands the camera fits well. Snug. I described it as the Goldilocks camera. Workflow - I now simply use the film simulation to take high quality JPEGS (with RAW) but only transfer exceptional RAW files to my computer. Most others (pics of my dogs, a nice church, a street) go SOTC to the phone. The app is easy to use. So on a trip - no more fumbling around with memory cards, laptops, lightroom etc. Snap the pic, transfer to phone, share. Interestingly, it has made me more deliberate about photography. I know now that I am not snapping 20 pictures (that I will select and edit in post). I will take 1 or 2. So I spend time BEFORE the click. What do I want in, what do I want out. Etc. So if you genuinely love photography, want to use something more than a phone, do not want to lug around heavy gear, want the flexibility to change lenses if you want to, want a quick camera to device workflow and do not want to rob a bank (or wherever they keep money these days) - buy this camera. And of course, nothing that I say about the fantastic ordering process from B&H hasn't been said before. So I'll spare you that :)

THe FUJIFILM X-T50 Mirrorless Camera with Basic Bundle (Black) (B&H# FUXT50BAK) is a camera with a few extras but without a lens. The right filter size would be determined by the lens you choose to add to it.

While the FUJIFILM X-T50 Mirrorless Camera and all current Fuji mirrorless cameras have "AI" subject detection and face/eye tracking, those features can be turned off.
