It features dual handles, a vacuum leak detection system including a vacuum valve and vacuum pump with gauge, and a flat glass lens port. The Ikelite bulkhead and integrated TTL circuitry provides reliable electrical triggering of optional external strobes via sync cords. Ikelite DS series strobes support TTL flash exposure; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.
Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push buttons, dials, and levers, afford access to all essential camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS-plastic blend. It is gray on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but clear on the back, so you can monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray has left and right-handed quick-release grips for improved balance and handling, and it offers an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.
The housing ships with an aluminum and glass flat port for use with the E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens. The front of the port is threaded for the attachment of optional dome ports and optional wide-angle and macro lenses. The included vacuum leak detection system is integral for checking watertight integrity before the dive.
