ASUS NUC 15 Pro+ Overview

With its compact size, the ASUS NUC 15 Pro+ Barebone Kit can fit into a variety of spaces and be customized to enhance your workflow and power AI workloads. Inside the toolless chassis is an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H Series 2 processor with integrated Arc graphics to get you started.

The two DDR5 slots support up to 48GB DDR5-6400 CSO-DIMM modules. For storage, you have one M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 slot alongside an M.2 PCIe 4.0 2242 slot. This system also includes built-in Wi-Fi 7 support and a 2.5G Ethernet port for high-speed internet access. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, along with a front-facing USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 and dual USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, allow you to quickly transfer large videos, photos, and other files. This kit is Windows 11 OS ready. A US power cable is included.

Performance
The Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor powers applications with six Performance cores while eight Efficient cores and two Low Power E-cores handle background tasks. The Performance cores have a base speed of 2 GHz and can be boosted up to 5.1 GHz. An integrated NPU accelerates AI workloads.
Expansion
There are two dual-channel DDR5-6400 CSO-DIMM slots available, supporting up to 48GB each for a total of 96GB. There is also an M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and an M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot.
High-Speed USB
A front-facing USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port allows you to transfer up to 20 Gb/s with compatible devices. The front panel also includes two 10 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The rear panel includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, and one USB-A 2.0 port.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB-C connector and features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB4 at up to 20 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort allows you to connect either one 8K monitor or up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 4 port.
Network Connectivity
Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support provides access to the less congested 6 GHz band with compatible wireless networks while enhancing reliability with signal optimization technologies. The 2.5G Ethernet port provides a fast and reliable wired internet connection.
Multi-Display Support
Enhance your workflow by connecting up four displays through the dual HDMI and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Flexible Mounting
Place this desktop system almost anywhere with included VESA mounting bracket, including on a wall or under a desk. You can also attach it to a monitor for an AIO computing experience. ASUS Power Sync allows you to simultaneously control the power for the NUC and compatible monitor.

Powerful computer in a small form factor

This is a powerful computer in a small form factor. I installed 32gb of RAM and the Western Digital SN7100 2TB driver. Windows 11 installed in a few minutes. I don't play games but use a lot of productivity software. I rarely have gotten the CPU usage above 75% and RAM usage above 50%. I put the NUC on "Performance mode" to see how loud the fan gets. It does get a little loud once in a while (like a laptop fan) but isn't bothersome to me at all. A user can always put the NUC on "Whisper mode", if needed. The CPU rarely 70 deg C and my SN7100 stays under 40 deg C. This is my first "mini-PC". I usually build my own computers but wanted something different than a desktop tower by my feet. The main "issue" I have is it doesn't have an audio port. I did have an extra USB-C hub that has an audio connection and have used that to hook up my desktop speakers. No issues there, just annoying for this price point. All said, I highly recommend this kit. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Does the NUC 15 Pro support a secondary 2.5 SSD Drive. If not what model does? also need 4 monitor support . Thanks

The ASUS NUC 15 Pro+ Barebone Kit, B&H # ASRNUC15CR9U, does not support a secondary 2.5'' SATA SSD; however, you can install a second SSD on the available M.2 Slot 2242. Asus does not currently offer a model of the NUC that supports a 2.5'' SSD.
