Kopul ECC-150 Overview

Compatible with both residential and commercial networks, this Cat 6a Shielded etherCON Ethernet Cable from Kopul offers advanced speed and reliability when compared to older Cat 5 or Cat 6 standards. Enjoy maximum data rates up to 500 MHz and transfer speeds up to 10 Gb/s for sustained HD video streams, cloud storage servers, and large file transfers. The cable's robust and shielded construction allows it to be used near electrical components, resisting interference and maintaining signal integrity. With Neutrik's gold-plated connectors, you can rely on consistent, interference-free transfer from end to end. For devices that also require power, such as security cameras, modems, and routers, this cable supplies up to 100W using the PoE++ standard.

Shielded Construction
To maintain data speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, this etherCON cable has four pairs of twisted 26 AWG bare copper wires. It was then given generous double shielding with an aluminum-mylar wrap and surrounded with an aluminum braid. This guards against crosstalk between the cables and external EM and RF interference.
Neutrik Connectors
Shielded Neutrik RJ45 connectors are used to ensure complete end-to-end shielding and reduced near-end crosstalk (NEXT). The connectors are also gold-plated for additional resistance to signal interference and they're lockable, which is an essential feature for mission-critical commercial applications.
Flexible and Durable
The cable of the etherCON is wrapped in a durable PVC jacket and paired with molded, shrink-wrapped boots on either end for superior strain relief. The flexibility and robustness of PVC gives you freedom in cable runs, and the strain relief guards against damage to the connection point between the cable and Neutrik connectors.
Data and Power
With support for the PoE++ standard, your networked devices don't have to be close to an outlet in order to receive power. Up to 100W of power can be sent along the etherCON cable along with data transmissions. The feature is ideal for Dante interfaces, security cameras, modems and routers, phones, digital displays, and much more. It's also backward compatible with PoE and PoE+ devices.

Reliable, secure, well-made cable for a variety of uses

When you're working with audio, the last thing you want to worry about is your cables. I've been using this etherCON cable as part of an audio setup, and it has been exactly what I was hoping for. It feels like a cable that's built for professional production work where reliability really matters. I'm using it with a four channel XLR over network system, and it has performed flawlessly. The locking etherCON connectors are one of my favorite features because once they're connected, they stay connected. That's a huge advantage. I don't have to worry about someone accidentally tugging on the cable and interrupting the signal. The build quality is excellent. The cable feels rugged without being overly stiff. The connectors feel solid, and the strain relief on each end gives me confidence that it's going to hold up to the constant setup and teardown that production gear can go through. While I'm currently using it for audio applications, it's nice knowing that it's versatile enough for video, networking, and other professional uses as well. It's the kind of cable that can easily become a permanent part of your production kit because it's ready for whatever job comes next. This is a high-quality cable that inspires confidence every time I use it. It's well made, been dependable, and built for real world production environments where you simply need your gear to work. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Avoid Kopul

Bought two of these for an install. The manufacturer coiled it up tremendously twisted and kinked all along the length of the cable. Spent hours trying to work the kinks out. After that I'm not seeing any transmission errors and this is a one and done install so I'll go ahead and use them. Hopefully I won't have to rip them out and replace. I would NEVER use this for anything mobile. This is the first and certainly the last Kopul product I'll buy. It was cheaper than all the rest and I tried to save a few bucks. Should have known better. Spend a little more and be happier.
