The UniFi G6 camera has been an excellent addition to my security setup. It offers a great field of view, making it easy to cover a large area without needing to position the camera at an awkward angle. The image quality is sharp and detailed, which is especially useful for identifying people and objects. The detection capabilities are also excellent. Person and other object detections are fast and reliable, with very few false alerts in my experience. Integration with the UniFi Protect ecosystem makes the overall experience even better, with a clean interface and easy access to recordings and events. Overall, the G6 is a great camera for both indoor and outdoor security. It provides excellent coverage, reliable detection, and very good image quality, making it a strong choice for anyone already using the UniFi ecosystem.

Great field of view and image quality

I install Ubiquiti devices professionally so I use a lot of their products at home as well. I recently started converting all my Google Nest cams to Ubiquiti. This particular camera is for my back porch. I had to go through the hassle of running the wire to my PoE switch but it had a much better field of view than my Nest and I use AI bark detection to alert me when my dog wants to come back inside.
