Fractal Design Scape Dark Overview

From Manufacturer

Delivering rich audio and an elegant design, the Scape Light Wireless RGB Gaming Headset from Fractal Design immerses you in entertainment experiences using a variety of devices while providing long-lasting comfort.

With Bluetooth connectivity, you can pair the Scape with computers, gaming consoles, phones, tablets, and other compatible devices. The included USB-A wireless receiver delivers a low-latency and stable connection. Or you can use the included USB-C to USB-A cable for wired connectivity. The detachable noise-canceling microphone allows you to clearly communicate with teammates. Simply flip the mic up or press the designated button to mute. Place the Scape into the included magnetic charging dock to wirelessly recharge your headset while showcasing it. The internal battery provides up to 40 hours of continuous use.

Style and Comfort
With soft fabric memory foam cushions, scratch-resistant metal alloy accents, and ambient RGB lighting, this lightweight headset is designed for gaming marathons while looking good on live streams.
Audio Quality
The Scape features custom-tuned 40mm drivers with adjustable EQ presets via a built-in DSP, delivering high-fidelity 24-bit, 96 kHz wireless audio.
EQ Modes
Switch between your own custom EQ modes or the pre-installed profiles at the touch of a button. An LED indicator and audio feedback indicates which mode you have currently selected.
Pick Up and Play
A magnetically assisted inductive dock keeps your headset charged and ready. A 15-minute charge provides about four hours of play time with the RGB lights on.
Control Crown
Simply twist the control crown to adjust the volume. You can also press it once to play or pause, twice to skip forward, or three times to skip back.
Power
The Scape headset automatically awakens when lifted from its charging stand, and it can be manually turned on or off using the built-in power button. A quick press will temporarily transform your lighting array to a solid color that indicates the remaining battery life.
RGB Lighting
Increase the ambience by turning on the earcup lighting arrays with a press of the built-in button, or press it again to turn off the lighting completely.
Easy Configuration
Adjust the ambient RGB lighting accents and EQ presets using the Adjust Pro browser-based tool, and your preferences are saved locally on the headset.

Fractal Design Scape Dark Reviews

Fractal Has Earned It's Place in Top Choices

I ordered both these and the Steelseries Arctic Pro Wireless, this to me - blows away the almost 3.5yr old Arctis Pro. These headphones have a much better sound quality than the SteelSeries, its hard to know why Steelseries is priced so high when compared the the competition in late 2025. Fractal has clearly made its move and I am impressed. The cushions are very squishy, slightly fabricky but not in a bad way just different - will be good to see if some 3rd parties make some ear cushions for these. The overall build quality is impressive for $199 headphones. Highly recommend these for anyone with a trained ear.

Pros: - I really like the sound quality a lot. There's no simulated surround sound here, but you get some really solid stereo with excellent EQ software - The mic quality isn't as good as a standalone mic, but I was surprised with how nice the mic sounds. This was a step up from the Senheissers I previously had - Love how easily it connects to basically any device (either on blutooth or with the dongle) and how simple it is to switch between things - Feels nice and premium, and the charging dock is surprisingly useful. You don't need the dock if you don't want to use it (USBC is fine) Cons: - It's admittedly pretty uncomfortable on the top of my head. Thankfully the earcups feel good, but after about an hour I start to get a headache, looking to modify these with better padding on the top

Is there a lighted indicator on the end of the microphone boom arm to indicated muted?
Asked by: Glenn
The microphone boom on the Fractal Design Scape Light Wireless RGB Gaming Headset (Gray), BH #FRFDHSSCA102, does not have an LED to indicate that it's muted. To mute it, you just need to flip up the boom mic so it will be noticeable.
