Make DI recording simpler and more convenient with the API Audio 505-DI, a direct input module for 500-series chassis that sports a front-panel Hi-Z 1/4" input and a separate thru jack for guitar, bass, and keyboard. The Tone control knob allows you to adjust some low frequencies to reduce potential mud in the signal, while a Bright switch allows you to boost the highs for enhanced clarity. By combining both controls, you can eliminate the need for adding EQ to the recording signal path. A -20 dB pad switch is useful for inserting instruments with their own integrated preamps or higher-level outputs, such as samplers and certain keyboards.
