Originally designed for API Audio consoles of the past, but now available in a convenient 500-series form factor, the 560 is a 10-band graphic EQ module sporting 12 dB of boost or cut per band and a familiar graphic design with one-octave centers. Featuring API's proprietary circuitry, including the famed 2520 op-amp, this EQ module is perfect for sweetening and fine-tuning signals.
The 560 features Proportional Q tech, which narrows or widens the bandwidth based on boost/cut levels. The 560 provides additional resolution within the ±4 dB region. The module is exceptionally fast and easy to use thanks to center detents, which makes resets to zero simple. You can also silently bypass your EQ module with the dedicate Bypass button.
With a wide range of 500-series mounting options, from racks to consoles, the 560 proves an invaluable asset to all critical performance applications. Based on API’s original 560 EQ, the current production 560 has improved resolution in the ±4 dB area and possesses exclusive circuitry and proprietary components, including the API 2520 op-amp.
This design intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings. Additionally, boost and cut characteristics are identical, allowing previous actions to be undone if desired.
