Building upon API Audio's rich history of designing high-quality mixing consoles, the ASM164 is a 16-channel rackmounted summing mixer with the same 2510 input op-amp as The BOX. With 31-step detented level control, variable pan control, Mix-A or Mix-B assignment, and a 4-segment LED level meter per channel, the ASM164 is a comprehensive 2 RU summing mixer.
Each channel sports insert sends and returns via balanced 1/4" TRS and DB25 connectors, with inserts selectable on each channel via push button. The ASM164 also includes line-level DB25 connections for the main channel inputs, XLR 3-pin jacks for stereo input, and stereo XLR pairs for Mix-A and Mix-B output. Complimenting the 2510 circuitry on the input, the ASM164 also features 2520 op-amps and a custom output transformer, delivering the signature API discrete analog sound. An illuminated global 0 dB channel level control bypass is available on the main control section, along with Mix-A to Mix-B bus summing and a button for routing Mix-A or Mix-B to the analog VU meters for monitoring output level. The ASM164 includes an external power supply with a locking 6-pin DC power connector.
