Representing a new direction in API Audio's line of compressor/limiters, the T25 is a 2-channel feedback-style stereo dynamics processor with FET-based gain reduction circuitry and a Class-A tube output stage sporting 12AT7WC and 12BH7 tubes and a custom transformer. With a flexible feature set, the T25 delivers classic tube performance for signals or whole mixes.
The T25 sports stepped and detented controls for easy recall, with 11-step attack and release controls, 31-step input/threshold and output/makeup gain controls, and four fixed compression ratios (2:1, 4:1, 8:1, and 20:1). Other useful functions include a THRUST feature for engaging a frequency-dependent side-chain control, and the D-S feature, which provides a high-frequency-dependent side-chain for applying de-essing to vocals. By default, the T25 features a dual-mono output, while the Link switch engages stereo processing. Stereo connections are available via XLR 3-pin and 1/4" TRS I/O on the rear panel. You can keep an eye on all your signals with the classic-style analog VU meters, the 10-segment LED gain-reduction meter, and the LED peak indicator.
