The 30L Travel Backpack from Peak Design is the core component in a versatile transportation system for photographers, multimedia creators, and dedicated travelers. The main compartment is accessed via a durable #10 zipper with expansion/compression zippers to keep your cargo snug. Padded sleeves for a tablet and a 15" laptop ensure your sensitive electronics are protected. A zippered, soft-lined top compartment holds essentials like your sunglasses, keys, and passport for easy access. The padded shoulder and sternum straps can be stowed under magnetic-closing flaps, so they won't get caught on things if you need to check the bag. Low-profile side grab handles make it easy to pull the pack from an overhead compartment, no matter which way it's positioned. Large side pockets accommodate tripods, trekking poles, or water bottles. The bag has clips for three separately available Peak Design Packing/Camera Cubes that can store photo, video, audio, and digital media equipment. The pack is made from 100% recycled, weather-resistant, 400-denier nylon with a waterproof 900-denier base.

The Peak Design Travel Backpack 30L has external dimensions of 20.9 x 13 x 7". This will comply with most domestic carry-on size requirements, which are generally 22 x 14 x 9". However this would most likely be to large to fit under an Arline seat. It is always best to double check with the airline as the requirements vary based on airline and specific flight.

I've heard this 30L bag can fit Small through Medium size camera cubes ONLY when it's expanded - is this correct?
The Peak Design Travel Backpack 30L has interior dimensions of 19.3 x 14.2 x 5.5", so it will fit all of the Peak cubes that are smaller than those dimensions.
