The KipperTie Strata Electro E/PL with 4-Pin LEMO Remote Port is an electro-mechanical ND system that is well suited to the form factor of cameras like the RED Komodo and Sony FX3. The Strata Electro is specifically not an electronic or variable ND system but rather a behind-the-lens optical ND filter system. This allows you to shoot virtually any subject, including monitors, phones, and displays, as well as to use other filters, such as polarizers, in front of your lens without creating image artifacts, which electronic ND filters may cause. With glass filters that are larger than a VistaVision frame, you can use this system on a variety of cameras and sensors without vignetting. It features a hybrid control system allowing you to set the filter manually or electronically by connecting to the 4-pin LEMO connector.
