High Brightness
A high brightness of 1500 cd/m² enables you to view the SC6 even in direct sunlight.
HDMI/SDI Interfaces
The 3G-SDI and HDMI input and output ports offer a comprehensive monitoring interface for your footage in the field. This monitor supports up to DCI 4K30 resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a wide 160° viewing angle for maximum visibility. A 3.5mm stereo headphone output lets you listen to audio levels while shooting.
Custom 3D LUTs

User Groups
The operating system of the SC6 monitor includes tools for focus and exposure, such as a waveform, vectorscope, and histogram. User buttons let you switch between four groups of your favorite menu settings.
Power Inputs and Outputs
Power the monitor using the 12 VDC barrel input.

The build quality was one of the more surprising aspects. It feels solid, closer to a SmallHD 5" than I expected, but the slightly larger 6" size actually feels like the perfect middle ground between a 5" and 7" monitor. The menu system is straightforward, hotkeys are easy to access, and while the included monitor cover is definitely on the cheaper side, it still gets the job done.
My biggest critique is brightness. At 1500 nits, it’s usable and definitely better than a 1000-nit monitor, but for serious outdoor work, especially around water or direct sun with no cover, I still wanted a bit more. For me, 1500 nits is the bare minimum these days. I know some people will bring up reflections, but my SmallHD UltraBright 703 performs perfectly fine with or without a hood, so that’s not really the issue here.
The other limitation is the lack of a true HDMI/SDI cross-conversion bypass. That may matter depending on your workflow. In my case, I bought this as a dedicated onboard monitor, not as a wireless video hub, so it was a compromise I was willing to make at this price.
Overall, this is a genuinely solid monitor that absolutely holds up in an indie professional environment.
