The Evno GTX acoustic guitar microphone system is designed and manufactured by hand in the USA. Purpose-built for acoustic guitar, the GTX delivers the most natural and transparent sound possible—capturing the true voice of the instrument without coloration. It provides maximum gain before feedback, ensuring the audience hears the tone the performer has spent years developing.
The GTX is the ideal choice for solo performances, principal soloists, and ensemble players across a wide range of genres, including classical, flamenco, folk, bluegrass, and country. The system performs equally well in low- and high-volume applications, providing consistent clarity and definition in any setting.
GTX-CL Mounting Clamp
The included GTX-CL clamp features a durable, lightweight aluminum design that attaches securely to the side of the guitar. It opens from 2.9 to 4.6" to accommodate a variety of instruments and includes dual thumbscrews—one to secure the clamp to the instrument and another to lock the microphone in place. A heavily padded contact surface protects the finish of the guitar, while the 90° angled mount and 5.5" Flex-stay gooseneck allow for precise microphone placement toward the sound source.
Microphone Design and Connectivity
The GTX microphone features a precision-machined housing with a mini 3-pin XLR connector and a 7-point O-ring suspension system housed in anodized aluminum. This modular suspension design ensures stability while making O-ring replacement quick and easy. The microphone is optimized for full-frequency capture of the acoustic guitar and is compatible with both wired and wireless systems.
Wired and Wireless Operation
Each GTX system includes the Evno PS95 preamp and power supply for standard hardwired operation. The included cable supports use with both the PS95 and Shure wireless transmitters. The microphone can also be configured for use with Evno, Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, or McCormick wireless systems. Cables for AKG and Sennheiser systems are available separately or may be bundled upon request.
