Evno Microphone Systems TBX-W2 Overview

The Evno TBX-W2 pairs the purpose-built TBX microphone with Evno's dual-channel W2 wireless system to deliver high-quality sound in a reliable, rackmount-ready format. Ideal for live performance, remote recording, and stage setups where speed and portability matter, this all-in-one system offers wireless freedom for trombone and low brass players. Handcrafted in the USA, the microphone is optimized to handle the high sound pressure levels produced by brass instruments, while delivering natural, uncolored tone and maximum gain before feedback. Combined with the W2 dual-channel wireless system, it offers true flexibility with independent control of two microphones—ideal for players who need expanded wireless setups.

Please note that a second, separately available, transmitter/microphone combination is required to access the second channel on the W2 receiver.

TBX Microphone for Trombone and Low Brass
The TBX microphone is specifically engineered to capture the full dynamic range and frequency spectrum of trombone and similar flanged-bell brass instruments. It features a precision-machined aluminum body with vented construction and a 7-point suspension system that minimizes handling noise while preserving tonal clarity. The Stay-Flex gooseneck allows precise mic positioning and stays securely in place throughout performance.

With a high SPL tolerance, the TBX handles loud, energetic playing without distortion—making it ideal for soloists, brass sections, and high-volume environments. The mic connects via a 3-pin mini-XLR and supports both wireless and wired use through compatible accessories.

Evno Swivel Clamp
The included Swivel Clamp provides fast, stable mounting to trombone bells and other low-brass instruments. Its spring-loaded jaws offer quick attachment and removal, while the precision clamp angle ensures the mic stays at the correct axis point. This clamp enables fast transitions between instruments without shifting or rotating out of position.
Dual Wireless with Separate Outputs
At the heart of the system is the W2 dual-channel receiver, which supports two microphone transmitters at once. Simply add an additional Evno mic and transmitter combination for compact, dual-channel performance that accommodates two performers simultaneously. Independent XLR outputs allow for separate EQ and volume control of each channel, with a 328-foot wireless range and diversity antennas providing stable, dropout-free performance. The system is well-suited for live shows, ensemble settings, and multi-instrument performances.
Compact Receiver with Rackmount Kit
The half-rack receiver is built into a metal chassis and includes a rackmounting kit and BNC extension cables. The antennas feature BNC locking connectors for rear or remote mounting. An LCD display provides clear readings of frequency, audio, and RF levels, while XLR outputs and a mirrored 1/4" output offer flexible connection options.
Flexible, Expandable Design
Operating in the 902 to 928 MHz UHF band for North America and Brazil, the W2 receiver is compatible with Evno A2, A4, and AH transmitters; add an additional mic and transmitter for dual-channel operation. With 99 IR-selectable channels, you can run up to 5-6 systems simultaneously, making it suitable for bands and ensembles using multiple Evno microphones.
