Designed for for audiophiles and critical listeners, the FiiO FT7 are gold-diaphragm open-back planar headphones built around FiiO’s own 4.2" full-size planar driver with a class-leading 1μm ultra-thin PET diaphragm. FiiO's self-developed planar unit uses a patented 24K gold + pure silver multi-layer coil plating system and a 28 nm-grade trace process to balance high resolution with a rich tonal character, while the patented uniform magnetic field design, dual-sided N52 neodymium push–pull array (18 magnets per driver, up to 1.5T), and 5 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response work together to extend low-end capability, control distortion, and reveal fine musical detail.
The FT7 also emphasize comfort and build quality, pairing a relatively lightweight chassis with a large carbon-fiber body and a natural West African zebrawood grille whose precisely aligned slats help reduce reflections. A liquid-nitrogen-treated over-6N OCC (99.99998%) monocrystalline copper cable with low-dielectric PFA insulation is supplied for improved conductivity and tuned mid/low-frequency character. The headphones carry Hi-Res Audio certification from JAS and CEA. Included with the FT7 are a 4.4mm balanced cable, 4.4mm–to–XLR-4 balanced adapter, 4.4mm–to–1/4" adapter, two sets of ear pads (lambskin and breathable fabric), and a custom Yaoli linen storage bag.
