HighPoint 6661B-mSAS2 Overview

Boost your storage and workflow with the HighPoint RocketStor 6661B-mSAS2 Thunderbolt 3 to 2x Mini-SAS Port Adapter. Inside the durable aluminum desktop enclosure is a PCIe RAID controller card with two external mini-SAS (SFF-8088) ports that let you add up to eight separately purchased 6 Gb/s compatible SAS-2 or SATA III drives for up to 112TB of raw storage. You can configure the drives independently or in RAID modes.

Thunderbolt 3 connectivity allows you to transfer up to 40 Gb/s over a single cable with compatible devices. You can daisy chain additional devices through the second Thunderbolt 3 port. Dual cooling fans help to ensure optimal performance during sustained transfers. The RocketStor 6661B-mSAS2 works with Windows Vista 64-bit, macOS 10.10, and Linux Kernal 3.10 or later.

RAID Solution
The built-in RAID controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and JBOD arrays. You can also configure the installed drives in non-RAID mode.
Note:
RAID 6 is not supported on macOS.
Comprehensive RAID and Storage Management Interface
An intuitive web-based management suite enables users to easily configure up eight SAS/SATA drives and RAID configurations. A wide range of maintenance and monitoring capabilities ensure the health of RAID storage and minimize downtime. With a few simple clicks, users can check available storage capacity and condition of all arrays and hosted drives. Enable auto-rebuild and hot spare features that add additional layers of data security to redundant arrays. Users can also schedule maintenance sessions to verify disk integrity and enable email notifications to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment.
