Easily capture optimized 3D immersive audio for film, broadcast, and live event applications with the Audio-Technica BP3600, a unique microphone array consisting of eight 3.5" hypercardioid condenser assemblies arranged in an equidistant manner to form a cube. Perfectly arranged for consistent surround audio pickup, the BP3600 can capture up to eight audio channels at once.
Each capsule is separated from the other by 5.9 inches. The near-coincident array provides excellent spaciousness and a controlled separation that few other immersive microphones can provide. The compact capsules help keep the array lightweight and small, making it easy to mount in a variety of environments. Each of the eight TA3F connectors for each mic assembly sports special cap locks for resistance against water. The 16-pin LEMO output connector can feed the eight channels of audio to the special LEMO-to-XLR eight-way breakout cable (sold separately) with color-coded XLR connectors for each channel. This setup makes it easy to integrate your immersive audio into existing MPEG-H 3D workflows. This version of the BP3600 includes eight windscreens, eight mic assemblies, the core mic body with integrated 5/8"-27 shock-mounted stand clamp, and a 3/8"-16 threaded stand adapter.
Note: this purchase does not include the special LEMO 16-Pin to XLR breakout cable. This cable is required for capturing all eight mic signals from the BP3600.
