Visual Productions DmxMerger Overview

Functioning as a DMX512 merger with three different merging strategies, the DIN Rail DmxMerger from Visual Productions offers six optically isolated DMX inputs and a single optically isolated DMX output. Here, the Priority, HTP, and LTP ports are all merged. You can also improve your DMX installation by combining the DmxMerger with other optional devices—adding multiple controllers into one single DMX network.

Three Merging Strategies
Three different merging strategies include Latest Takes Precedence, Highest Takes Precedence, and DMX Priority. The first one selects one of the LTP inputs based on which port had the most recent change of channels or an active DMX signal. The Highest strategy combines HTP inputs and the LTP result, so each DMX channel is compared across the inputs, and the highest value is forwarded to the output. Finally, the DMX Priority brings the DMX signal of the Priority input and forwards it directly to the output by ignoring all the other inputs.
Redundancy & Compatibility
The Priority input connects to your main DMX controller. If it fails, the DmxMerger instantly switches to a secondary DMX controller connector of the other input ports. The DmxMerger is fully compatible with the CueCore2 and QuadCore lighting engines, as well as the IoCore2, GPI, GPO, and RS-232 interface modules, and the B-Station and Kiosc products.
