The Lectrosonics DSR is a lightweight two-channel digital slot receiver engineered for mobile sound production, sports video, reality TV, and anywhere a wireless system must provide mission-critical signal stability and clear, transparent 24-bit / 48 kHz sound. It is compatible with the company's mono digital transmitters (DBSM, DBu, DHu, DPR, DPR-A) and stereo digital transmitters (DCHT, M2T), and backward compatible with any Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitter.
The DSR provides two independent receiver channels at the highest level of RF and audio performance available—versatile field-proven feature set, selectable AES3 or analog mic-/line-level outputs, and next-generation capabilities in the Unislot/Superslot form factor—for ENG, field, and location production. Settings can be made from the front panel with tactile buttons and a color LCD interface, making the unit ideal for use in portable bag systems, mounted in or on cameras, and on sound carts. The built-in RF spectrum analyzer and SmartTune function help you quickly find a clean frequency to alleviate interference problems in an increasingly congested RF spectrum.

- The mechanical design of the DSR fits into the Superslot ecosystem and combines field-proven features developed over many years of experience in motion picture and television production. To decrease weight, the DSR packs two channel receivers in one unit powered by external DC.
- The 2-way IR sync makes quick work of setting up matching transmitters.
- The machined aluminum housing and panels are surfaced with a hard-anodized finish with laser etched markings to withstand the rigors of field production.
- The DSR's Vector Diversity subsystem smoothly and continuously combines RF signals from two receiver front ends per channel, with differing phase angles in order to obtain maximum energy. Not only does this method deliver clean, artifact-free performance in all modes, it is actually able to take two signals compromised by multipath interference and reassemble them into a usable signal.
- The two RF gain stages in the front end of each audio channel provide low-noise RF amplification, excellent sensitivity, and extremely low susceptibility to intermodulation and desensitization.
- The DSR offers one of the highest Third-Order (IP3) performances at +11 dBm, compared with +5 to +8 dBm provided by typical audio RF receivers. High IP3 performance allows the receiver to better eliminate the negative impact caused by third-order intermodulation artifacts and have a better signal-to-noise ratio, more reliably in today's tough RF environments.
- SmartTune is the easiest and fastest way to scan the local RF spectrum and find clear operating frequencies. The receiver scans through its tuning bandwidth and automatically finds empty areas within the tuning range that have little or no RF energy. The receiver will then set itself to a frequency within an empty area and prompt you to continue or use the IR function to sync to a transmitter.
- With a noise floor at -120 dBV and a frequency response up to 20 kHz, high-frequency noise in the source audio is more apparent than in conventional wireless systems. The SmartNR algorithm has three modes. When Off, no noise reduction is performed. When Normal is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from the mic preamp and some of the hiss from lavalier microphones. When Full is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from nearly any signal source of reasonable quality, assuming levels are set correctly at the transmitter.
- The DSR offers compatibility with the D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, DPr, DCHT, DBSM, and M2T.
- There is backward compatibility with any Digital Hybrid wireless transmitters including the SM and SMWB series, WM, HM Series, MM400 Series, HHSeries, LT, LMb, UM400 Series, and SSM.

Ideal for theater, TV, film, sports, and broadcast applications where concealment is desired and water-resistance is required, the 470 to 607 MHz Lectrosonics DSSM Micro Digital Wireless Transmitter is the company's smallest transmitter with an IP57 rating and dock-charging capability. The DSSM offers an extensive feature set packed into an exceptionally rugged and lightweight, solid-aluminum housing, and is compatible with all Lectrosonics digital receivers, including the DSR, DSR4, DSQD, DCR822, M2Ra, and DCHR. The servo bias input circuitry can accommodate an electret lavalier mic, a dynamic mic, or a line-level input via the locking, 3-pin LEMO connector.
The DSSM includes specially developed, high-efficiency circuitry for extended operating time on the rechargeable LB-50 battery. RF power selections are offered at 10, 25, and 50mW (D2 mode) and at 4mW (Special High Density/HDM mode). The membrane switch panel and OLED display enable quick access to all adjustments and settings.
- The IP57 rating indicates that the unit is protected against dust ingress while also withstanding water immersion up to 3.2' for 30+ minutes—all while allowing for quick battery swap-outs
- The housing is constructed of machined aluminum alloy treated in the conductive, super hard electroless nickel ebENi finish
- The audio-input jack is a 3-pin LEMO connector with a threaded collar adding additional ruggedness
- The optional CHSDSSM battery charging station provides a convenient and organized way of recharging any mix of four DSSM transmitters and/or four LB-50 lithium-ion batteries
- Full charging of battery takes 3 hours
- The DSSM transmitter can operate up to 6 hours on a full charge
- For larger systems with numerous batteries in regular use, the CHSDSSM charger may be daisy-chained to 3 additional CHSDSSM chargers using a single DCR5/9AU AC/DC power supply (available separately) for a total of 16 LB50s and/or DSSMs charging at once
- The input section features the unique Lectrosonics servo bias input circuitry accepts mic- or line-level signals with a wide range of gain adjustment in 1 dB steps
- Accurate indications on the display allow precise gain adjustments to be made for the maximum signal to noise ratio and minimum distortion
- A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is employed ahead of the first mic preamp to protect the entire audio chain from overload. The limiter has a range of more than 30 dB for excellent overload protection, and a dual-release envelope that makes the limiter acoustically transparent while maintaining low distortion of brief transients and longer duration peaks
- Selectable low-frequency roll-off at 35, 50, 70, 100, 120, and 150 Hz
- The membrane switch panel and OLED display enable access to all adjustments and settings. The menu structure is easy to navigate
- Battery status is indicated by a bi-color LED that is green with a fresh battery, then turns to red as the battery runs down, and finally starts blinking red when there are only a few minutes of runtime remaining
- The DSSM offers AES 256-bit CTR encryption with four key policies including Universal, Shared, Standard, and Volatile. This covers a wide variety of use cases, including government, corporate, and sports coverage
- LectroRM (available separately) is a third-party mobile application for iOS and Android smartphone operating systems. Its purpose is to make changes to the settings on the DSSM transmitter by delivering encoded audio tones to the microphone attached to the transmitter
- When the tone enters the transmitter, it is decoded to make a change toa variety of different settings such as input gain, frequency, and more
- Compatible with DSQD, DCHR, M2Ra, DSR, DSR4, and DCR822 receivers
