Yes, it's excellent for that purpose, especially with the very wide field of view. The 10x is a bit harder to hold steady. But even without the forehead rest, it can be very stable with proper technique and some practice, I find that it is just fine. Absolutely astounding views.

Yes. Very wide field of view (both actual and apparent) for a 10x binocular, spectacular optics. Without the headrest it takes a bit more effort and proper technique to hold steady compared to an 8x, but with a bit of practice it's fine (unless you have unsteady hands to begin with). So I imagine with the headrest, it's even easier. Everything about this binocular and the accessories says top of the line quality.
