Cart Design
The Boulder Cart is a modular platform meant to be built up to suit whatever kind of production needs your workflow requires, ranging from workstation for studio productions to a digi-tech cart for streaming and commercial shoots to an outdoor cart for location and daily use needs to an at-home work space for desktop computing needs. A wide range of accessories can be added to this Base Model, which includes:
Four 9" wheels (two fixed and two rotating casters) with pneumatic tires for smooth mobility
Top and bottom trays with lips; each tray measures about 42 x 24" and the cart stands 41"-tall when assembled
Two cross bars and four 40mm support speed rails form the foundation of the cart
Two handles for pushing or pulling the cart; these handles can be moved and removed as needed

Build quality is amazing, it feels very sturdy. if you are between this and the small rig one, go with this one.

This is a fantastic cart, however don't expect to be able to easily carry, assemble and disassemble it like you see in the commercials.
I think they named this cart The Boulder because it is as heavy as one. This cart is over 100LBS and is essentially a solid slab of metal when torn down. This makes it remarkably challenging to move. When the package arrived had to carry it up a flight of stairs. I wore a lifting belt and I still threw my back out carrying this cart in the wooden shipping box. That makes me nervous to ever carry this again. Keep in mind I'm 32, 200 LBS and I work out several days a week. I am used to carrying heavy camera gear such as backpacks, C-Stands and sand bags all at once.
Assembling the cart was easy and it's great you don't need tools. However disassembling is made difficult due to the top tray being nearly impossible to remove. At this point I am considering buying a production van with a ramp just so I never have to carry it or assemble this cart ever again.
With all that said, once the cart is build and you are wheeling it around it is incredible. The build quality is fantastic and this thing feels solid as a rock. I can't wait to bring this to film sets.
Tilta, if you make a new model in the future, please shave off 30-40lbs and make the top try easier to remove.

The top, fold-down shelf of the Tilta Boulder Camera Cart Indie Kit (BH # TICT01AG) may be left in the open position for as long as needed.
