Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface (4th Generation)
Remastered with More I/O for Artists and Content Creators
Offering a powerful combination of high-quality sound and user-friendliness in a compact and portable format for recording, podcasting, and streaming, the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 (4th Generation) 4-in / 4-out USB-C audio/MIDI interface lets musicians and creators capture high-quality audio with no learning curve no matter where they go. The 4th Generation model features new ultra-low-noise microphone preamps with up to 69 dB of gain to capture the full potential of your mics. The upgraded, 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters provide a huge dynamic range up to 120 dB, matching the quality you'd find in a pro studio. The new Auto Gain mode automatically sets your recording level, and the Clip Safe mode automatically prevents your signal from clipping, ensuring that every take is a keeper. The Loopback feature lets podcasters, gamers, YouTubers, and streamers mix audio from other apps running on the computer, with the audio being recorded through the interface. Traditional 5-pin MIDI I/O is provided for seamless integration of MIDI equipment. The 4i4 4th Generation can now work in standalone mode without a computer, useful for live performances or monitoring-only situations.

The interface comes with a complete recording toolkit with Pro Tools Intro+, Ableton Live Lite, and Focusrite's Hitmaker Expansion software bundle; featuring Auto-Tune Access for Vocals, Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 for guitar, Native Instruments MASSIVE synth, and more.

Portable, Bus Powered, or Standalone
  • Both compact and lightweight, the Scarlett 4i4 is rugged and ready to securely stand on your desktop or travel with you. Being bus powered via USB-C connectivity, it can be used in any room or even remote locations, with your preferred DAW on a Mac/Windows computer or on an iPad Pro equipped with a USB-C port.
  • The Scarlett 4i4 4th Generation can work in Standalone mode and still pass audio from the inputs to the outputs without the need for a computer. To power the unit, simply plug in the included USB-A to USB-C adapter or a separately available USB power bank using the USB-C 5V input located on the back panel.
4th-Generation Pristine, High-Resolution Conversion
  • Scarlett 4i4 4th Generation uses the same studio-grade, 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters as Focusrite’s flagship RedNet interfaces, found in countless high-end studios worldwide.
  • Thanks to its high-performance via 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters that deliver a huge 120 dB of dynamic range, the Scarlett 4i4 is well equipped to capture any source from vocals to acoustic and electric instruments clearly and accurately, so you don't have to worry about the interface clouding your sound.
Two 4th-Generation Mic Preamps with Air Mode
  • With a huge 69 dB gain range, the two upgraded 4th-generation Scarlett XLR mic preamps capture the sound of your microphones with enhanced transparency and full detail. Switchable 48V phantom power is onboard to accommodate your favorite condenser mics.
  • The selectable-per-channel Air Mode brings the bright and open sonic signature of a big studio console to your microphones.
  • It adds high-end presence and rich harmonic drive to vocals and instruments, reproducing the Air effect of Focusrite's original ISA mic preamp.
Two Hi-Z Instrument/Line Inputs + Two Separate Line Inputs
  • The two 1/4" inputs on the Scarlett 4i4 4th Generation's front panel are specialy designed to preserve the quality of your sound when connecting instruments with high impedance (Hi-Z) like electric guitars or basses—no need for a DI box or amplifier.
  • At the press of a button, each 1/4" input can be used to input line-level sources like a mixer's output or the line outs from guitar and bass amps.
  • With two balanced 1/4" line inputs on the back of the Scarlett 4i4, you can patch in line-level sources such as external mic preamps, an outboard mixer, or synthesizer sound modules while leaving the front-panel inputs free for direct connection of mics, instruments, or other line-level sources.
Four Line Outputs
  • Four, balanced 1/4" line outputs on the rear panel enable you to connect two different monitor setups with independent mixes or patch your favorite outboard gear and effects into your DAW.
User-Friendly for Both Beginners and Experienced Creators
  • The Scarlett 4i4 is designed to be user-friendly and offers a streamlined experience, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced audio enthusiasts.
  • Plug in and tell Focusrite’s Easy Start tool how you want to use your Scarlett, and let it guide you through all the software and setup you need, with recording tips and other helpful content along the way.
  • With the Scarlett 4i4's independent gain knobs and multicolor, Dynamic Gain Halo meters, you'll have no trouble dialing in the perfect levels. Plus, there are no menus or complicated controls to slow you down.
  • Additionally, The Focusrite Control 2 software lets you make changes in your Scarlett's hardware direct from your computer.
Auto Gain—Let Scarlett Set Your Levels
  • Hit the Auto Gain button and play for ten seconds, Scarlett will set the perfect level for whatever you’re recording.
Clip Safe—Make Every Take a Keeper
  • While you’re playing, Clip Safe is all ears. Checking your levels up to 96,000 times per second, Clip Safe will automatically adjust the gain if you’re at risk of clipping, ensuring that your recordings remain distortion-free even when performing at higher volumes.
Independent Headphone and Monitor Outputs—Latency-Free Monitoring
  • A powerful custom-designed headphone amp with a huge dynamic range sets the stage for loud, clear, and accurate playback and monitoring through any headphones. The 4i4 4th Generation drives high-impedance headphones louder and clearer than ever before.
  • Separate knobs are provided for quick and independent adjustment of your speakers and headphone volumes.
  • Use selectable direct monitoring to hear your live input signal with no distracting echo or latency.
Loopback for Podcasters, Gamers, YouTubers, Streamers
  • Loopback lets you record other audio sources from within your computer (e.g., the audio output from a web browser) using the Scarlett's virtual stereo inputs, which have no physical connectors on the hardware interface itself but may be selected in the DAW as signal sources.
  • Podcasters can use it to record guests via video call. Gamers can record gaming audio plus a mic separately. YouTubers can record a mic over a video. You can also combine computer audio with your mic for streaming.
MIDI I/O
  • On the Scarlett 4i4's back panel, you'll find traditional 5-pin MIDI I/O ports, perfect for hooking up a MIDI keyboard controller, a synthesizer/workstation, or a sound module for MIDI recording, editing, and sequencing.

RODE PodMic Dynamic Podcasting Microphone (Black)
Podcasters looking for the right mic to bring professional-quality sound to their productions on YouTube, FaceBook, Twitch, and elsewhere have a great option with the black PodMic from Rode. This cost-effective, yet stylish, end-address dynamic XLR microphone is specifically tuned for speech and broadcast. Tailor-made for use with the RODECaster Pro podcast production studio and PSA1 broadcast arm, it can also be plugged into a wide range of pro-audio gear to deliver broadcast-quality sound.
This microphone is part of the B&H Virtual Mic Locker, an online tool to help our valued customers determine the sonic differences between popular microphones for podcasting and voice over work. Each microphone was recorded using a Grace Design M103 preamp into a Presonus Quantum 2626 interface.
Podcast in Any Environment
Most podcasts happen in bedrooms, home studios, or offices with less than perfect acoustics and noises coming from the outside. The PodMic features a dynamic capsule with a tight cardioid polar pattern, great for picking up the speaker while reducing unwanted sounds that are further away or off to the sides.
Get Close to Your Mic
With its end-address design, the PodMic invites you to get right up close and create intimate broadcast-style voice recordings with a deep and warm tone. Its compact size lets you and your guests see each other and enjoy an open and comfortable talking experience, while the mic stays out of the camera's way when videocasting.
Built to Last
Solid-brass construction with a hard-wearing matte-black ceramic finish ensures that the PodMic will continue to deliver the same level of performance over the years, while still looking great.
Clean Speech without Distractions
The PodMic's internal pop filter and double-mesh housing work to effectively reduce distracting breath and plosive noises (as in s, p, and b sounds) without the need for an unsightly external pop filter.
Protect Your Sound from Vibrations
The internal shockmount helps to isolate the PodMic from handling noise and vibrations when you are adjusting the mic or if there's a bump or knock on the table. The integrated swing mount that holds the mic further insulates it from low-frequency noises, which could ruin your audio.
Swing into the Right Position
The PodMic has two wing nuts on each side of its built-in mount, allowing you to quickly swing the mic into the right orientation and lock it into place. Mounting the PodMic on the PSA1 broadcast boom arm (available separately) gives you the added flexibility to position the microphone exactly where you want it.
Get Professional Results
Pair the PodMic with the powerful RODECaster Pro podcast production studio to leverage the most out of your microphone. Select the PodMic microphone preset in the RODECaster Pro audio options and matching digital signal processing is automatically applied, giving your voice the depth, presence, and hint of shimmer associated with top professional radio broadcasters.

Love my older 2i2 and it still works perfectly. I bought his so there was not so much unplugging and replugging. I had this computer built for me for editing recording and it runs just about anything I throw at in..... until this. I have the drivers downloaded, it says it needs more poser so I plug in the power, same thing. The help page is pretty useless too. Great idea but not working for me. Keeps flashing red..

Yes, the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface (4th Generation) can be used with the included USB-C to USB-A adapter attached to the USB-C to USB-C cable, or you can use a USB-C to USB-A cable, which is available separately. Asked by: Daniel
According to Focusrite, "The Scarlett range of audio interfaces is class-compliant. This means that they can use the core audio driver built into iOS. We do not officially test or support bus-powered Scarlett interfaces with iPads or iPhones using a lightning connection, however, we expect them to work."
