This B&H Kit bundles a Lexar Professional Workflow Docking Station with two Lexar 2TB Professional Workflow Portable SSDs, for a total storage capacity of 4TB.
Designed for photographers and videographers who want to accelerate their workflow on location and in post-production, the Professional Workflow Docking Station from Lexar features six bays that may be customized with a variety of Lexar Professional Workflow peripherals, including their Dual-Slot UHS-II SD Card Reader, UHS-II SD/microSD Card Reader, CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card Reader, CFexpress 4.0 Type A Card Reader, and Portable SSD. While two of the bays support 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 and four support 10 Gb/s USB, all six bays may be used simultaneously and are housed in a heat-dissipating, scratch-resistant aluminum housing with a built-in fan and high-efficiency airflow channels to maintain performance.
Compatible with Windows 10/11 and macOS 11 or later, connectivity to your host system is established using a Thunderbolt 4 port, while a second Thunderbolt 4 port provides up to 15W of power and allows for the daisy-chaining of up to six additional docks, one 8K display, or two 4K displays. There is also an additional 10 Gb/s USB-C port and 10 Gb/s USB-A port, each of which support up to 7.5W of power may be used for other peripherals, such as a card reader, hard drive, or phone. Power is provided using a dedicated USB-C port and an included 140W GaN power adapter.
The 2TB Professional Workflow Portable SSD from Lexar is made to pair with one of the drive bays in their Professional Workflow Docking Station and Workflow Go via its 20 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface. However, it also includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter, allowing it to be used on its own. Preformatted exFAT, this SSD is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android and also features IP68 protection against water and dust, drop protection of up to 9.8', AES 256-bit encryption, bus power, and an aluminum finish for scratch resistance.
When used with the Lexar Professional Workflow, data transfer speeds max out at 1050 MB/s. However, when used as a standalone device, data transfer speeds reach up to 2000 MB/s.
Note: To achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.
